Folk Art in Santa Maria Tlaxiaco

This is one of the largest cities of the northwestern highlands of Oaxaca. Famous for its rich Mixtec past surrounded by Ancient pre-Columbian remains, Tlaxiaco is where most of the fine handmade palm crafts come from, such as natural mats, sun hats, furniture and other very refined handmade items.
